I have a big heart. I am a giver. I love to give to those who need. It’s a great feeling. I grew up in a boy’s home so I know what it feels like to have nothing. When I get a customer that seems to be genuine, kind, and just wonderful but yet they obviously don’t have anything my heart kicks into over drive. I can’t help but want to do the work for cost or even free if possible.
It’s not about demeaning them or humiliating them. It’s just a way of saying there are good people in this world. We have customers that fall into this situation. No one is saying that you have to be generous. I personally want to be generous. You will come across those who need help. Be kind, be helpful if you can afford to do so.
When you fix something out of the kindness of your heart it feels good. It feels even better when they appreciate you. I had a customer make me cookies one time as a thank you. I have gotten cards in the mail. Others have given me and my employees small gifts. It just makes you feel good and it makes you appreciate these people.
This job will allow you the ability to help the less fortunate. Obviously you have to make money to stay afloat. Just consider helping out when you can. Every little act of kindness makes the world a better place.
